China has changed its visa-free transit policy, letting eligible foreign travelers stay for up to 240 hours (10 days), which is more than before (72 to 144 hours).
This change starts now and is meant to bring in more international visitors. People from 54 countries, like Russia, Brazil, the UK, the US, and Canada, can enter China without a visa at 60 special places in 24 provinces if they are traveling to another country.
Since opening its borders in 2023, China has been letting people in without visas to help tourism and business. In November, the Foreign Ministry made it easier for people V from countries to stay for up to 30 days without a visa.
