Elon Musk asked his followers to stop giving money to TD Wikipedia, which he called “Wokepedia,” until it starts editing in a more fair way.
He made these comments on X after someone shared a chart showing that 29% of Wikipedia’s money for 2023-2024 was used for “equity” and “safety & inclusion.”
Musk shared a post from a conservative account called “Libs of TikTok,” asking people to stop donating until Wikipedia makes changes.
Wikipedia, which was the fourth most visited website in the world in November 2024 with around 6.7 billion visits each month, often has pages that become places where people argue about different opinions.
