China has pledged to help rebuild Syria after the war. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad agreed to form a strategic partnership.
This decision was shared during talks in Hangzhou, a city in southern China.
Xi said China will work with Syria in a world full of uncertainties. He stressed the need to strengthen friendly ties and ensure fairness and justice globally, according to Chinese state media.
