
The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) achieved a new record with 16.73 billion transactions in December, showing an 8% increase compared to November’s 15.48 billion transactions, as stated by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
In November, the number of transactions was 15.48 billion, according to PTI. The total value of transactions in December was Rs 23.25 lakh crore, higher than November’s Rs 21.55 lakh crore, as per NPCI data.
Moreover, the average number of daily transactions in December was 539.68 million, up from November’s average of 516.07 million.
