A passenger plane flying from Azerbaijan to Russia crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan, resulting in the deaths of four people.
The Embraer 190 flight J2-8243, which had 62 passengers and five crew members on board, had to make an emergency landing about 3 kilometers from Aktau on Wednesday. Kazakhstan’s Emergency Ministry said 29 people survived, including two children, and they were taken to the hospital.
Earlier reports about the number of survivors were unclear, but it was later confirmed to be 29. Firefighters put out the fire, and 150 emergency workers were at the scene.
