SHORT:
China has stopped exporting certain items with important minerals to the U.S, and made it harder to send related items out of the country.
This is because the U.S. has recently taken actions against China’s semiconductor industry. On December 3, China stopped exporting items related to gallium, germanium, antimony, and very strong materials.
This has made trade problems worse as Donald Trump, who will soon become the U.S. President, gets ready to start his job. Also, on December 1, new rules about exporting dual-use products were put into place.
