China has decided to impose penalties on 28 American companies

China has taken new trade steps against several U.S. companies, such as Raytheon, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin, which might increase tensions with the United States. As President-elect Trump plans to introduce more tariffs, China is prepared to respond.

The Ministry of Commerce has placed 28 companies on an export control list to β€œprotect national security,” stopping them from receiving certain items that can be used for both civilian and military purposes.

Also, ten companies have been marked as β€œunreliable” for selling weapons to Taiwan, which will restrict their business in China and prevent their leaders from entering the country.

Experts point out that China has taken similar, but smaller, actions against these companies before, and they have very little business in China.
