Former Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun tried to take his own life while being held at a detention center in eastern Seoul.
He is being held there because of charges related to trying to overthrow the government. The detention center said they stopped him and that he is now okay, but they moved him to a safer room.
This situation has made people worry about the mental health of important people who are in jail in South Korea.
