Prime Minister Narendra Modi will present a ceremonial ‘Chadar’ to Union Minister Kiren Rijiju and BJP Minority Morcha President Jamal Siddiqui for the Ajmer Sharif Dargah during the Urs of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
This marks the 11th consecutive year Modi has participated in this tradition. Last year, the ‘Chadar’ was delivered by then Union Minister Smriti Irani and Siddiqui. Rijiju and Siddiqui will receive the ‘Chadar’ before it is offered at the dargah, with arrangements for the ceremony in place.
Rijiju is expected to arrive at Jaipur airport at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday and will travel to Ajmer for the 11 a.m. ceremony.
