BRICS is ready to consider Syria’s application for membership, but only after confirming it with the new government, according to Russia’s BRICS representative.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said that BRICS welcomes applications from any country, including Syria.
He stressed that the group does not force any nation to join and respects their choices, showing that the decision is important and not just based on simple rules about who can join.
